What began in 1995 with passion and a clear vision on Bahnhofstraße in Dörpen has grown over the years into one of the region’s leading medium-sized companies. From its first major contract to today’s energy-sector projects, the story of ROBIN GmbH has been shaped by technical expertise, steady growth and entrepreneurial foresight.
Since expanding into the energy sector in 2013, in particular, the company has pursued a clear, future-focused path. Today, ROBIN operates throughout Germany and plays an active role in delivering the energy transition – including through projects such as Ultranet and NeuConnect. With five strong service areas – switchgear systems, automation, industrial electrical engineering, electrical building services and the energy sector – the company now employs more than 80 people.
Marco Robin, who has been a member of the management team since 2013, now takes sole responsibility at the helm. At the company’s 30th anniversary celebration on 17 May 2025, he emphasised the special character of the family business, in which not only father and son but also numerous other family members work alongside their colleagues. This combination of entrepreneurial ambition and a close-knit family culture has significantly shaped the company.
Following a period of ‘trial retirement’, Hans-Gerd Robin is now withdrawing from day-to-day operations for good. He hands the company over to the next generation with complete confidence: ‘I know that my life’s work is in the very best hands with Marco and his team.’
