Since May 2025, we have been working on site – and expect to remain there until spring 2027. UL13 is a special project for us: with a contract value of approximately €22 million, it is the largest contract in our company’s history.
Our scope of work is correspondingly extensive. ROBIN is responsible for earthing, equipotential bonding and lightning protection, as well as extensive low-voltage installations. These include lighting, switchgear manufacture, cable tray installation and cable pulling, along with fire alarm, intruder alarm and gas detection systems. The scope also includes telecommunications, electrical, instrumentation and control systems, including the building management system, as well as CCTV surveillance of internal and external areas.
A project of this scale is not only a technical challenge. Many workstreams progress in parallel and must be completed at the right time. Project Manager Lars and Site Manager Christian coordinate the work on site. Operations Manager Ralf is also a regular presence on site.
For Lars, one thing matters above all: a strong team – and the ability to see what is needed and when. Occupational safety and complete documentation are just as much part of day-to-day work on a project of this scale as the electrical engineering itself.
Our team is expected to remain in Emden until spring 2027 – working on a project that is setting new standards technically, organisationally and for ROBIN itself.
